required registration fields

Hi,

i know i can add required fields to the signup page however how do i make the AIM field a required part?

i have tried to add it however this does not put the icon on the posts for aim.

did you require it? and did you make sure that you have IM ICONS set to showup?

yes there all set ok however when they fill in the field i created and not the original AIM one in profile the aim icon does not show up.
