Poll and Latest Posts on non VB3 Page - PLEASE HELP!!!!

I really need to know how to get a poll and the 10 latest posts on my main page which is not a forum page. Please help me!!!

Search around for external.php, which comes with vB3 already.. Although they don't have a option for polls, you can intergrate into it.
