Request: Awards & Medals
 

I would like to see the Awards, Medals and Cards hack from VB2 ported to VB3. I desperately need this for my forum.

You would have to ask the author of it to see if he/she is upgrading it to vB3.

I give anyone the permission to port my awards/medals hack over to vb3, this because i don't have any time to do it. If someone needs help with it then he can always pm me.

Im not going to necessarily port over lesanes, as it used to many queries in the postbit but I do have ideas. Can't guarentee anything but I will certainly try something similar.

Indeed, the current method of my awards hack isn't that good. I would of code it way different now, not one line from the original will be taken over. ;)

I've done the add/edit/delete awards part in the admincp and also the awards in the postbit part (using only one extra query per page) I just need to do the add/edit/delete awards from users plus awards in member profile and i think im done. Oh and an install script to make it easy.

Also I was thinking that since vB now has that cron job thing built in I might build a script in which the forums will give out awards (high post counts/ old members etc..) automatically. But that won't come for some time now.
