Custom Pages?

I used a hack on vB2 (vB Engine I think, sorry don't recall the exact name), and it allowed you to easily create a custom page that used the same header and footer as the rest of the board. Is there an easy way to do this with vb3 (either formatting a page to call everything or even another hack that was like the one for vB3?

Thanks!!!

I was messing with it and it works for rc2 (I didn't test it heavily though). It was done when vb was still in beta stage.

Read the stuff on page 4. There is a newer version on the way that was written for rc stage.

Snipped from my project:
PHP Code:

<?php
/*
vbms_ab.php

This script allows users to view and modify their address book.

Unauthorized distribution of this file is a felony. LEGAL ACTION WILL BE TAKEN
AGAINST OFFENDERS, regardless of their nationality or age. This is not an idle
threat.
*/

define("THIS_SCRIPT""vbms_ab");
define("NO_REGISTER_GLOBALS"true);

require(
"./global.php");
require(
"./includes/functions_vbms.php");
require(
"./includes/init_vbms.php");

eval(
"print_output(\"" fetch_template("VBMS_AB") . "\");");
?>

Obviously you don't need the specific vBMS two required files, but the key is that eval line. Just make a template with what you want and then eval it as shown. Don't forget the NO_REGISTER_GLOBALS or you can screw yourself by opening up the page to hackers.

To preserve the header, just copy one of the generic templates (FORUMHOME, etc.), strip it of most everything in the body, and then add your own code.

Would be nice to have a solution to add custom pages via the admincp. Simply choosing the style and the name and put the html code in and then it should create all other necesarry things inside vb3
