need converting from phpbb to vbulletin

hi,

i am using phpbb forums on my site . recently i got vBulletin 3 gamma which i installed properly but i had one concern i want to transfer all the users and post from phpbb to vbulletin. The package did include the converter in this folder " admincp/importers/bbimport_phpbb2.php" . now i dont know how i can convert this thing. Please help me .

also i get the following error on execution.
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: print_cp_header() in /home/vijayonl/public_html/forums/admincp/importers/bbimport_phpbb2.php on line 66

thanx in advance.

Hmm this realy shouldnt be in this forum as you are after help now, not questions about buying vB. I suggest you do not use GAMMA as the new RC1 has been released so you should download that and use it instead as it is more stable than GAMMA.

As for your error, this is only a guess but maybe it has something too do with your hosts PHP version.

Is there any trial version of vBulletin?
I am running phpBB2 now if I decide to switch to vBulletin how can I import my database over?

Danke sehr!

nope, no trial versions available

but there is an admindemon on vbulletin.com

importscripts are within the vb3 installfiles or can be downloaded from the members area :)

I don't think the importers work with vB3. You will have to install vB 2.3 and convert your phpBB before upgrading to vB3. They need to make the converters work with vB3 soon.

no i haven't buyed any license from them yet but i was asking for my friend. I Also want to buy vBulletin license but need to confirm if i can import or not coz then i will buy it.Coz i love the features and everything of vbulletin.

Well, vb3 hasn't been released officially.

So you can convert phpbb's to vb2 and afterwards upgrade to vb3, this IS possible.
It WILL be possible to import phpbbs from vb3 as well, once the final version is out, so the devs can start to write the importers :)
