now anything uploaded is hosed
 
I installed vBindex and shout. Everything worked fine for a while, but now anything uploaded by members; jpg, gif, pdf files is corrupted. The pictures only show about 20% at the top of the pic and the PDF files are corrupted to the point of not being able to open them. Anyone got a clue where to look?

Did the hacks that you installed require any modifications to the functions or code that handles vb uploads? If not it may be a different problem that is causing your uploaded files to be corrupted.

In vb2.x.x the uploading process is done in functions.php file in the admin directory if that helps any.
