Ok, I think we've pretty much applied the last few hacks to our board and I wanted to post it here for any feedback.

Let us know what you think.

The front page looks very nice and proffesional which i guess is the look you was going for. Looks nicely spaced out and not too cluttered, well done on that.

Forum. same style as the portal page, works nicely. Not too over hacks unlike some boards and looks very tidy, and different.

Checked out a review at random aswell and you put alot into your reviews huh :)

Overall i think its pretty nice, nothing mind blowing design/graphic wise but its not like it needs to be :) Nice one mate.

Wow, you guys are fast. :)

MindTrix , thanks for the nice comments!

assassingod, you're right. good catch! That's on the portal page only. We need to correct that as the header should be fine, just vBhome Lite isn't doing the correct width for the home page. Oops.

MindTrix 11-28-2003 05:11 PM

damn them free portals :)

After scratching my head a few times, and playing with the various widths of the vBhome Lite templates, it finally dawned on me why the width was being strange like that. Turns out one of the articles about the DVD release of "What's Happening" had a string of asterisks that were too long, and pushed the width out a bit. Damn you Rerun! :D

All should be normal now with the width of the home page.

Good thing to make a mental note on for future home page articles. Thanks.

WOW, how did you set up the review's section???

atomic fireball 12-03-2003 09:11 PM

I just created a separate simple MySQL database for reviews, and then linked it to vBulletin.

There are probably much easier and better ways to do it, but that's the way I knew how to do it. :)
