Is there anyway to get vBulletin to stop adding all the words that are posted in threads to stop being added to the database?

You know?

look into badwords.php

all words in there won't be added to the DB.

other possibilities are:
a) disabling searching at all.
b) increasing the min-length of words to be able to search for.

So other than that, I am stuck?

well what else do you want.

there is no way in using the search engine without indexing words...
