This sucks

This sucks.... some how my router at work (only 3 computers behind the router) won't let me access irc :( it is boring @ work with out irc..... anyone got suggestions?

hmm, maybe the router blocks some ports, ask the admin to open them for ya :)

Use an SSH tunnel if you have another server that will work.

You have to have a Linux server set up on part of the network (or outside the network) that can access the IRC server. You can ask the sysadmin how you'd go about setting that up. The last thing it is is intuitive.

use a web applet to connect to mirc - works fine for me cause of the router prob so the chat room u visit ask em to install a irc applet as well
