Extend Forum Description Field?

Is it possible to extend the Forum Description field. I believe its set to 100 character right now and I have an idea of something to do but that field needs to be much larger.

Try running this query:
[SQL]
ALTER TABLE forum CHANGE description description TEXT NOT NULL
[/SQL]
