Style specific post icons

I am very sorry if this has been requested. I have searched the forums most of the moring and havent been able to find anything related.

What I would like is a hack or help with the template edit to have icons be style specific. What I mean is if we have a FF style and want to use FF post icons that those will only show in the FF style and not any other style on the forum. The icons would be named similar of course each style would have icon0-14 so the appropriate one for each style will show instead of the red x of doom.

I tried editing the template iconbits I think is the one, I added in the full address to were I stored the icons but it shows empty boxes for the folder that has the icons in images/icons plus the ones I added in for the specific style. I do not want this to happen.

Is there any way someone can help me or point me in the proper direction if it has already been done.

Thanks in adavnce

You can create a new style, and change the images directory. Then in the directory, add a folder called icons and then add them via the AdminCP (AdminCP -> Post Icons - > Add)

That should work:)

I did that and it shows the default icons as well as the custom ones.

But thanks anyways ^.^

Did you remove the default ones from the new icons directory?

yes.

the way I want it to work is I have two styles I have a UF- FF one and a Halloween one, I want the Final Fantasy one to have the default icons and the Halloween one to have these little devil things.

Is it even possible?

No one else can answer this question? Even if only to tell me it isnt possible?

I'm not sure why it isn't working.

You should create a new dir for the halloween style, add the icons dir in there and change them. Then in the style editor change the image dir URL and it should work.
