Ignore signatures works like ignore user

There is a debate on my forum over what should be allowed in sigs. I figure the easiest way to solve this is to implement an ignore sig option. That way people can keep their sigs if they want, and if someone finds a sig too risque they can ignore it. Would anyone be able to make a hack like this?

either there is already an ignore "signatures" option but that would ignore all sigs. or its default(doesnt have a vb2.3.x to look at)

however it does seem possible

You could do somethings to make sigs less noticable on your forum.

You can have it only display once per thread, per page. So if they post a second time in the same thread, it won't show their signature again and again. Only for the first post they made in the thread/page.

You can have it only display sigs in a certain forum. Maybe you have a general babble or chit chat forum where anything goes, while the rest of your forum is sig free.

I already have sigs displaying once per page. However, if someone has some random big tittied slut in their sig, even if it shows up once, they might get offended. It would be easier if that person could just turn that users sig off, rather than turning everyone's sigs off.

easy solution, dont allow offending sigs!

if you find it offensive, then remove it, or enuf ppl do. prolbem sloved

That isn't a solution. The solution is to let the members themselves decide what they find offensive or not and ignore certain sigs on their own. If I make decisions for everyone, they won't be happy. If they can decide what is offensive on their own, EVERYONE is happy.
