Skype -- how to hide custom field?

Can any1 let me know how to implement, on the postbit, the custom field SKYPE (with the username in skype) to be hidden if:

1) the user chooses to hide it (via user cp?)
2) the fileld is empty

you should install some sort of template conditional hack (for Example Logicians')

Has anyone add a skype-me button in the profile like MSN, ICQ...?
May you help me to do it?
I dont know how to hack the code.
