Is it possible to modify a VBB to include membership number information by default?

My members are requesting actual numbers. This is useful for various things related to our club.

I'd like to do it with VBB to keep everything centralized, but, I'm not against using a different package to keep track.

This hack (is it a hack?) would need to allow a user to look up their own membership number on demand.

You can add their numbers. Everything is stored and indexed by $userid and their user id can be reflected by $BBuserid anywhere in the system
