i think it has to do with the # of posts that would be lost if they did that

Zachery 10-19-2003 07:29 PM

well, vbulletintemplates.com is a sister site of vbulletin.com and uses the license system, so IMO it should be linked some where officaly

Apoco 10-19-2003 07:30 PM

nah, they are the cinderella sister, the one nobody knows about, like a hidden secret.

I wouldn't mind seeing vborg being used for source code changes and vbt being used for template modifications.

The currently made threads don't have to be 'moved', the template forum can be set to 'not accept new posts'.

i agree :)

i do like that you guys have put a refrence in for the time being :D

well personally i agree that template changes from vb.org AND vb.com should be limited to vbt.

But with vb3 it'll be a bit harder to decide.
Templates can execut php with their conditions, so the borders are floating...

Zachery 10-19-2003 08:16 PM

i thought templates could only "sorta" do php now, i know that ifstatments are possible but i thought that was its extent, besides the phpinclude

Xenon 10-19-2003 08:17 PM

you can change the content of variables within the conditions, and this way change more then just little things..

Zachery 10-19-2003 08:24 PM

right, however vbulletintemplates, allows NO FILE MODS, as stated in the rules. so i guess thats a place to start for defination of a hack? vs template mod?
