php/html code in threads
I need to be able to post php and html code in threads but of course VB thinks its part of the thread and try to parse it.
How can I enter code to a thread so that is displays as I type it, I have seen seperate windows of code in posts here. |
You mean like the [CODE] / [PHP] tag?

yeah I know the code and php tags are there now, but hwat about html. there is no button for html and if you use the code tags it just executes the html code rather than dispaying it as typed in the thread.

if it executes html instead of displaying it, you've set an special option in the ACP to yes.
It's strongly recommended not to allow html using, as it's a big security risk. if it's just for a private forum, where you know you can trust EACH member, you can of course write a hack which does the needed, but as said, you shouldn'T allow html if it's not absolutely needed |
