6.0 is coming out in mid october, the upgrade won't cost me very much thankfully, but in the mean time I have tool of trade which I need for my 3d models :) maya and Softimage or Cinama 4D are a bit out of my price range for tools still. And 3d max I've been using for a few years now..

I was just looking at adobe CS package, it's going to cost me $507 us, converted to canadain, to get upgrades for tools I have now... just spent a lot in upgrades, with max, seems like it's never ending.

The three tools in order I would upgrade
Adobe Photoshop 7 to CS
Adobe Golive 6.01 to CS
Adobe Illustrator 10 to CS

I guess they got board with numbering the versions of the adobe software.. I like the new look of the applications though. Time to start saving heh ...

Looks like it's all Pre-Order at the moment, End of November is when Adobe CS stuff should be out. When you think of how much each program costs, $169 isn't to bad for full upgrade of each :)

Photoshop 8, as I understand it, but it barely even qualifies as 7.5 given the pitiful number of new features they added.
