vb3 overkill?

I'll have to say the admin section is nicer but the user end seems a bit overkill. Seems there should be two grades of VB, pro & lite. Pro could be the version with all the extra end user stuff, and lite could have a more simplistic display like VB2.x.

any opinions on this?

you can enable and disable whatever youd like from the admin cp ;)

and the final style is not finished so we really dont know how the final end user display will look like

.... and it's still more server efficient than vB2. Heh, that works out nicely. :D

And, as Faranth said, the final style is not done, and will not be done until RC1, and no ne except for Kier knows what it'll look like.

Having two separate versions would be a lot of work. Like the others said you can enable/disable things as you wish in the adminCP.

Server efficient maybe - but faster? :)

Xenon 09-25-2003 06:05 PM

it's a lot faster now that i have compared it a long time.

and as said style isn't final, so the overkill will be reduced in future (i hope) :)
