Multiple VB's / One user DB

Hey guys, i am trying to see if this is possible. With the VB i have, i want to be able to have a forum for each section of my site but i dont want to have them look like SUB-Forums of the greater forum. Can i have multiple VB's on my server run independantly and just use the same USER DB so users dont have to keep re-registering?
