Resolution sizing: Major problem
I have a serious issue right now on my forums, this is the first time I have attempted to create a style. My problem is that I designed the forums in 1280x1204. But when you go to a lower resolution every is screwed up. I think I learned a lesson here about designing in a lower resolution. But I still need to fix what I have done. I have searched for hours now and still do not have any idea of what to do.
What I need is some kind of way to display the forums at each resolution corectly. I really do not understand all this stuff that much, so if there is a way to solve this please go easy on me. |

Depending on the style, it can be hard to make it fit into every resolution. There may be other ways, I've never encountered such a problem so *shrugs* |
Thanks for the advice. I have fixed the problem to some degree by changing the main table width to 800 rather then a percent. All seems fine except 800x600 resolution, but at this point I am glad the problem is somewhat gone.

Change the main table width to 740. That way it'll look good on any browser and on any resolution above 640x480, which nobody uses anymore anyway.

I really thank you guys for helping me out.
I changed the table width to 740, however everything was out of alingnment once again at 800x600...I am not sure why as no other resolution has this problem. So I brought it up a little and set it at 760. Now everything seems fine, and although there is a minor problem with allignment in 800x600 it is not nearly as bad as it was, and I do not think most people will even recognize it. Could this have been an effect from seperating the posts and removing the background that was once behind them? |
