just had this idea, say if, you had a forum that would be dedicated to transcripts (i think that's the word) where basically every 2 hours it would make a new post (or thread based on the chatroom topic) and then everyone could read what was happening in chat?

It wouldn't be hard to do with the right setup. I have written a hack that can be used to make a post to a specific forum when it is called.

This script could be combined with some sort of a bot script that logs what is said in chat and calls my script at the given intervals.

Don't ask me to do it :D I don't run chat bots, nor do I have vbulletin 2.x running any more. That's just a basic idea of how to start it.
