Football pickem hack
 

I have a sports forum at http://www.usasportsforums.com.

I thought it would be fun if there was a weekly football pickem hack where users would pick their games every week and earn points for every game they pick. The points would accumulate over the season and there would be a winner(s) at the end of the season and the member's username would be put on a winner's high score table permanently. The table would just add a new winner every year. Also add some kind of points jackpot to use with the store.

This is a litle more then what I am looking to do but also a great idea. I think that we all need some way to add our points in some type of pot, what I have been doing is donating points to a user created by myself named "The Pot" and whoever does the best weekly picks whens the points. It's a pain to keep up with like that but until someone tries out a new hack it's the only way.

Just a small note that what you are suggesting is a quite complicated hack (I know b/c I did a similiar one and please do not request it from me, thx!) and besides it is useful to very few boards (only sport related ones) so it is really not very likely for someone to work on it and share it here. I wish someone will hear your request but I'm giving my 2 cents so that you won't have much expectations :)

We have a PHP based weekly picks and survival/survivor pool system we have developed, but it was too much work to make as a mod for vB.

I know it was said earlier in this thread, but I wanted to back that statement up.

Couple of years later and only one paid for hack :(

I have thought about looking at the forms hack and see if that would at least make selecting games easier. Right now the system I have been using is the first post of the thread has all the games, then after that each member copies and paste that and mark the winners.

It work but would love something easier, dont need all the stats, points and what not.
