Total VIEWS count hack

OK, we have total members, total threads and total posts...why not a total views count? Even better yet, views this week or views this month count. I've tried to work this out, but have not been successful thus far.

Anyone else up to the challenge?

My latest hack does this, and I released it somewhere else in this forum, but here it is again:

Open index.php, find:

Above add:

$threadviews=$DB_site->query_first('SELECT COUNT(*) AS threads, SUM(views) AS views FROM thread');

$totalviews=number_format($threadviews['views']);

then add $totalviews anywhere in the forumhome template

Right on, works like a champ and only one query added.

Now...how would I filter this for say only the last 7 days??

Not too sure, it would probably be something like finding the dateline for the last 7 days then using that. I may look into it.
