Using 2 different 'showthread' templates based on the thread life
Hello,
I would like to show 2 different showthread templates, with the following schedule: - Template A would show 1 time (as soon as the thread is initially created) and then not show for the next 2 hours (starting from the initial creation of the thread) - Template B would show only within the first 2 hours of the life of the thread. I would like to do this because the showthread template contains google adsense ads that are not profitable until crawled by google (which often takes x number of hours) Any help on how to get this done will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Roy |
That X number of hours starts when the ad code is first run, so if you don't include the code in the first 2 hours, you will still have another 2 hours after it is first parsed.

Dont really understand what you mean ...

If your hack aims NOT to display google ads in the template for 2 hours, it would be pointless because until you display it, your 2 hour time will not kick off.
