Advice on upgrades!
 

Hello all

I am in need of a forum upgrade , I am using 2.2.8 at the moment and would like to get upto date if possible. I have upgraded loads of times before so thats all fine but I have a lot of hacks on my forum and don't know if I upgrade it will mess everything up.

This is the updates I have made on my forum:

PHP Pages that have been changed with Vbulliten 2.8 (in date order):

Anyone suggest how or what I should do? I can make a duplicate forum and database to test if thats any use?

If you upgarde you will lose all hacks.
Unless you use some sort of comparison tool (See tips and hints forum)
And then some pages might not work because of changes in the scource code

You can use a program called Araxis Merge.

Also, you can install a local board and update the files there.

At least you've kept a lof of what hacks you have installed - that's very organised :)
