whats this clear session link at the bottom of the home page. what exactly happens, when i click on that ??

It clears your current session from the session table :p

Any specific advantages with clearing one's session ??

It doesn't log you out from the site, however it does end your "session" ie, removes you from the online users list.

So what's the actual 'use' of this feature?

Makes you appear offline, without having to wait for the cookietimeout to remove your session.
