Smiley parsing
 

Basically all I want to know is how do you change the order so smileys are parsed on our boards AFTER url

cause on our board if you type the url http://www.url.com:D or somthing similar like url.com/page=poo (we have the smiley =p) it would parse the smileys in the url and hence wont show up properly.

Simple question hope you can help

open admin/functions.php

go to function bbcodeparse2

there you finde an if condition if ($dosmilies)
and one if($dobbcode

just change their order

i thought so but just didnt want to do anything incase vbulletin had it this way for a reason :P

scrap this thread, it seemed it doesnt work, i forgot to account for the fact it will still parse the smilies in the url once they are change to href tags

Maybe this would be a good hack for someone, say something along the lines of if smilie is in img tag then dont parse otherwise do it, but i dont have a clue how to do this :p
