Showthread Navbar Modification
Ever had any clutter when it comes to showthread's navbar? Wish you could take the thread title in a showthread navbar and place it elsewhere to free up space and give the ability to do more with your space? This hack will remove the thread title from showthread navbar with an easy edit to one file. You are able to customize the way the thread title looks with one easy variable and place it in where inside your show thread template.
I honestly doubt there will be any real problems with this hack but if there is I of course will be here to help you out. Example: http://www.ewplanet.org Example: http://www.ewplanet.org/e/showthread...threadid=14420 |
If you do not wish to follow one of the above links in order to view this hack in action, a screenshot has been provided.

I'm quite aware of the Template modification that can be done but it is completely different than my hack. This hack will take the thread title out of the navbit, and allow you to place the thread title any where in showthread template. That way it can be above the poll to, with the template modification the entire thing was with in one one table, so you couldn't do that. While it was a nice template modification this compliments it ten fold and allows more flexibility and customization. In the future, when replying to hacks, make sure you understand what the hack does before you assume something. |
One thing I found out. When you go to post a REPLY you no longer have that thread title as a link even if you drop in the $threadtitle code in that area. This was usefull for one could Right Click on it and open it up in another window to look at the post again. Now you can not. :(

Don't you have the topic review at the bottom?
|
Yes, but people like to open another window for some reason.
