3rd Party Software Logging in with VB?
I just purchased the "MyGamingLadder Script" and i'd like it to use the members login/pw of vBulletin instead of having them register again. The script is up and running using the same vbulletin mysql database. The registration page on the ladder script has the same option fields (username, e-mail twice, password twice, etc.), then you have to validate. So i'm hoping it can done. Any help?

In the gaming script you'd have to change all the user quiries to look at the VB tables. It could be a big deal.

Not really. You just need to know what you are doing.

Just remove the login bits for this script, and add the include global.php line to the top, so that only registered users can access it. Then modify the rest of the script so that usernames are showed properly. It's not too hard to do, but takes time. :)

the developers were no help since it required "hacking" the script. erwin, your solution sounded simple...added the include global.php line, and that's as far as i got. ;) so i guess i'm going to try hiring a php pro to hook it up. thanks for the help. hopefully it works in the end...
