Cool, yes? ;) The problem is the query that fetches all the data, including taking permissions into effect, takes a second or two to execute, so the script was doomed to be a cron job :)

BTW, I believe it's only four queries to make that: load some settings, load some templates, get guest-denied forumids, then get the posts themselves. That last query references information from four tables which would explain the long execution time ;)

Search Google for RSS if you don't know what it is. It's designed for real-time or slightly delayed news feeds. All it is is XML that follows a certain format.
