Allow Administrators to Post in Locked Forums

What does this hack do?

It allows administrators to be able to post in locked forums (in vBulletin 2, you aren't able to by default, even if you are an administrator. Kind of sucks when you need to make a post, eh? ;))

It's a simple installation.

No screenshots because I can't really show this in an image. You'll have to try it out yourself to decide! :D

Nice hack... I can already post in closed threads since my vB version is 2.3.0. I suppose it's already that way.

This is for closed FORUMS (ie. Forums that aren't open for new posts, but threads can be viewed).

I don't really have a use for this since the only forum I have that is closed for posts is "The Morgue", and that's where closed threads get moved to.. Nice work though Gary, could be useful for some :)

Nice addition. Useful when you have an announcement forum and you only want admins to post in it. :)

N9ne 08-16-2003 09:27 AM

This can be done using the built in forum permissions feature :).

Gary King 08-16-2003 01:21 PM

Except that you don't have to keep on setting permissions for each locked forum ;)

Hostc 08-19-2003 10:37 PM

Note: This doesn't work with Leslanes posts needed to view forums.

and this feature is already in vb 2.3.2

Gary King 08-19-2003 11:16 PM

Is it?

Could you please show me the details concerning this, because I cannot find it (and don't have vB 2.3.2 installed anywhere).
