"Trick" Guest into registering
 

Looking for a hack that would sort of trick a guest into registering. It'd look like a chat script or something, where you have to enter a nickname, then have them add a password and email address, and then the script would use that info to register the guest and redirect them to the index. Has this been released or not, and if not, can someone make it? :)

So then the hack would say "Please enter a username, password, and email address to start chatting!"? And when the user types it all in and hits "Start Chatting" button, he'll be redirected to the index and won't be able to find the chat? Please think through your ideas before asking for them to be created :rolleyes:

No....It wouldn't say 'chat in our chat', it'd just look like one of those where you have to enter a handle or nickname to get in.

Wouldn't that be deceiving and annoying your guests who may not want to register? It's best to be honest with site visitors.

Would like to experience the same thing yourself in another site? They register your email in a DB by tricking you and make you a member, then you start getting Admin Mails, user pm/email notifications from other members etc.

No...just add a different perspective to the register process, a different feel
