I found some animated smileys on a site and want to use them on my forum.

When I upload them, they don't move at all. Am I doing something wrong? They are animated on the other site when you are writing your message but don't move at all when I am writing a message on my board.

Do they move when the message is posted? Or do the stop moving when you click one of them into the msg field? if it stops when u click them into the msg field then thats no problem its just java, nothing to panic over. if youve saved them from the site, opened them in a standard program that doesnt support animation and saved it somewhere else the animation will be whiped away, you need to copy the image from its DIR to the other or get an anim editing program like Jasc Animation Shop Pro, or Adobe Imagready (comes with photoshop)

I was using upload smileys and they were not animated. I tried add then specify the directory where they are located on the server. That worked. The smileys are now animated before I select them.

Selecting them will stop the animation. IIRC, Kier has a hack that stops this behavior.
