View New Posts problem
 

I made a search on this problem but it seems no one answered it

Every once in a while when someone clicks View New Posts, it won't work. It takes them to the search and says no matches when on forum home it says there have been X new posts and X new threads. Any reason why this would happen?

I'm using vB 2.3 and it seems to only happen every once in a while, or for some people, non stop

They have cookies switched off, so the site thinks that they have read all posts?

No, it worked fine before? I switched the time of the forums a few days ago because it was wrong, and by doing so some people's posts were messed up (showing up before an older post, etc.). You think that could have caused it??

anybody else? this is seriously becoming a big problem for me. Do you guys know if perhaps certain files or templates could be causing problems so that I can get one of my backups? I'd much rather not use a backup of the entire forum....

Did you have any luck on fixing this? I am experiencing the same problem on 2.3.2.

I have some minor hacks installed and also Albinator Pro

Let me know. This is a MAJOR problem with quite a few users.
