try to add user through admincp but im getting this error...
 

I went to add a user manually through the admin cp and now im getting this error.. does anyone have any ideas of whats wrong?

You haven't applied your changes correctly :) Try adding that birthday hack again (the changes in user.php only) and i think you'll find it'll work :)

I dont need to edit user.php for the birthday hack.. can someone else help me?

You'll have to try reverting any changes you made recently to the admin/user.php
