Reinstall vBulletin

I want to reinstall vBulletin w/o any hacks cos after upgradin to 2.3.0 i've been gettin quite a few errors.

Invalid SQL: SELECT user.userid, usergroupid, username, email, password,ac tivationid, dateline FROM user LEFT JOIN useractivation ON (user.userid=useractivation.userid AND type=0) WHERE email='EMAILADD'
mysql error: Column: 'usergroupid' in field list is ambiguous

mysql error number: 1052

above is jz one of e errors i received while new registered try to activate

When do you get that exactly? And which file? Please copy and paste the browser once you get this error.

You'll have to find the usergroupid in this SQL, and change it to user.usergroupid.

when i try to change e usergrp in admin panel
it never happened b4 until i upgraded to 2.3.0

so i was thinkin of reinstallin a clean board and installin all e hacks from scratch but i dunno how to

Re-download vBulletin from http://www.vbulletin.com/members/ and replace your current files with those ones. Then, re-install your hacks.

but how bout my database?
when i restore my database, e hacks will still be there

Gary King 07-12-2003 11:16 PM

The database is completely separate from the hacks you installed, unless you made some database modifications for your hacks. Just keep your old database, and things will work anyhow.

If you do what I suggested, then you shouldn't run into any problems.

Invalid SQL: INSERT INTO useractivation VALUES (NULL,'350','1058065827','33565893',1)
mysql error: Column count doesn't match value count at row 1
