Automatic Login
 

I am wondering how you would have an automatic login to the v-bulletin boards installed on our site if someone registers on our registration form as a member of other areas of our site.

We have the boards using the same username, but how do you get it to automatically login to the boards so that a user does not have to login again after they have logged in to our site?

Thanks. I'm not a hacker but I'm sure someone will be able to help you.

You would just need to run another query when they register on your "main" site to update the users table in vB. I guess you'd want to take out the email "opt-in" confirmation email as well.

Shouldn't be too hard, basically copy-paste the add user query from vB, and set it to connect and update in your "main" signup script (which presumably has all the usual error checking, security mesures, etc).
