Logged in, looks good, logged out looks bad. Please Help.
 

I'm trying to get my forum frontpage to look decent and for some reason it looks good when people are logged in, but when they are logged out, it looks horrible. Can somebody please help?

Here's what it looks like when you are logged out:

The gray bar over to the left looks normal, but as you can see the search field as shifted over and the quote is all squished.

The way the gray bar works, I can't get it to go completely away when users are logged out.

To test it, I took out "$unregwelcomemessage" from the forumhome to see and it didn't change it when I logged out.

Any other ideas?
