vB3 - Query Load & Comments

vb3 - Forum home (7 Queries)
vb3 - Forum Display (13 Queries)
vb3 - Show Thread (11 Queries)

On top of this coding much more superior. Better XML and CSS support. I have just gotten used to the template, and am now able to navigate it with breeze. I am also now able to code hacks. I actually find it easier to manage templates and keep query loads much lower. I started development of Links Directory for vb3 (I plan to release all at once).

I have actually started to incorporate vB3 with some of my jobs I do for clients. They are paying me 210$ for a 160$ product :p. They are loving it. I think this is something that freeboards certainly cannot level up to. I think this is a very unlikly many boards will even bother too. Yes I have seen phpbb beta and invision board. Feature wise vb3 comes up on top, functionality wise vb3 comes up on top, and now speed wise vb3 is competing and is at times coming up on top. One thing that vb3 does not have that its predecessors had was user friendlyness, but I don't think this is a major loss, because the phpbb admin and invisionboard admin are pretty childish and too much based on looks.

Overall good job, and I think development on this will be great to see through.

Hmmm:)

My showthread on my vB2 only had 11 queries - ... If I viewed 2 posts per page;)

He's talking about standard vB3, not modified. Your vB2 is obviously modified if you only have 11 queries. :)

Heh...

I don't use vB2 any more:p

Yes standard. I also like the way how functions for specific features can be included.

Very nice..

vB3's code is great. Queries, what queries? heh. hardly any, brilliant.

Well, it's odd because my forumhome has 17 queries, my forumdisplay has 14, and my showthread has 9... hmm...

EDIT: I just realized that I had left my forum depth on 3 while I was testing something, I changed it back to 2 and forumhome queries dropped to 10.

Does vb3 have a way to view query count without going into debug mode?

There is a "sort of microstats" hack at vBulletin.nl.
