Sometimes at my site, it shows be as logged in twice, one as userid=0 and the other userid=1 why would it show 0? Would it be a hack gone screwy?

could be a hack gone screwy, more likely is your cookie has been corrupted somehow, try deleteing your cookies, then logging into your site again.

already tried that, I did notice that in my session table in my database there is a session entry for userid 0 for each occurance. Would it be safe to delete them?
