Being green and struggling
Hello all,
I just started with vB two days ago and I'm kinda not understanding how it works yet. I have vbHome installed and I have messed with some templates etc but the current problem is I have no idea how you get half the features to work. I have the calendar button at the top, great, but I thought with vbHome etc you can get a little 'block' to appear on the main page. The other one is I created a new forum for news so the news will load on vbHome but that's not showing. Also the journal (I think it has one) is no where. I can add buttons to the header but I don't know where to link them, I guess news.php or something but I wanted it to display in a nice table. I currently have www.zclub.net/index.php and I'm looking to do the vbHome equivalent of www.peugeot-gti.net Any help is very much appreciated, I'm a fast learner and not stupid, I just don't want to waste my time hacking it up to get things to work when there is a correct way to do things. Thanks for your time Russ - Z club |
I think I have to go into index.php, add the calendar template to templates used, eval $sidecalendar to the correct template but now I dont know which template is for the side calendar, or do I have to create one?
