Template understanding
Hello,
Well I was up till 4am working on some hack modifications last night :) I took the latest posts mod, laid it out to match vB and then added a new field to threads called lastposterid which gets added in newreply.php and newthread.php so my latest posts mod shows a linkable "latest post by" without running another query :D This is fun! Anyway I thought i would move the pm bit up so to save space, I created a new template called forum_mypmhack, and went into forumhome to remove $pminfo because under my 1 day old self taught understanding that references the pm bit. However someone else had to tell me it was referencing forum_pmloggedin as I cannot see any logical link between $pminfo and forum_pmloggedin... can someone explain it please??? After that explanation mayble I will understand how to get a $mypmhack reference for my new template, there is something I'm missing here and I can't mod not understanding this :D I tried the chat room but no one wanted to help. Thank you so much for your time :D Russ |
I have been told to look into index.php :D Suddenly it all becomes clear.
