Comparison: Database data vs. file data
Am simply curious, obviously for one like me who has unlimited DBase space from his host, but not filespace, then keeping as much data in the DBase is preferrable, but what are the drawback of this as compared to files? i.e. for data that sits in blob tables and the like such as pictures and files....Would bandwidth play a factor in either of these scenarios or would the equate to the same bandwidth?
Thinking out loud, so I apologize if this is difficult to follow. )O( Cloudrunner )O( |
The only advantage of storing them as files (AFAIK) is that when you download database backups, they are not so large;)
