Merge thread complication.

Why is thread merging so complicated?
Why can't you just enter the other thread's ID and they merge?
Instead you have to get the whole URL for the thread you want to merge.
Kinda sucks.

I'm guessing all it does anyway is grab the threadid from the URL. It's easier for most people to copy/paste than to type in a threadid (or copy a specific part of the URL)...

I guess but IMO it's pretty silly.
I would find using simply the threadid much more simpler.

edit postings.php, find:

replace it as:

}

else

$getthreadid=intval(substr($mergethreadurl,strpos($mergethreadurl,"threadid=")+9));

}

Now that field accepts both URL and thread id only. ;)
