Hello,

I was wondering if i needed permission to release a modded hack. I took a hack, and modifyed it a good deal to my preferences, and was wondering if i needed the original hackers permission to release it.

And what happens if i cannot get in contact with the original hacker?

Yes, you do need the original hacker's permission.

Then, unless he released the code specifically under some sort of open-source license, there isn't much you can do.

also, is there currently a hack allowing certain usergroups to post HTML? i searched it, but no luck...

you can release addon's to hack as long as the author didn't say explicitly no add ons.

second question: well it's in the request forum, but never released as a real hack
