User-type indentifier field, need suggestions.
 

My board pertains to college athletics. Ideally I'd like to give new users the requirement of identifying themselves as a fan of the team in question, or someone representing a different team (perhaps I could even offer a pulldown with all I-A programs).

I've poked around in the templates and custom user fields a bit, but the custom fields allow for text insertion rather than the creation of pulldowns.

Does anyone have suggestions on how I might accomplish this?

I'm quite sure you'll need hacking to change a textbox custom field into dropdown. Although I'm not 100%

Thanks, that's it exactly. I should have figured it would have been Mutt. That's twice now he's played a direct role in the exact hack I want. I think I need to go over and sign up for his board. ;)
