questions abt forum & user permission
 

well i would like to know wat is "user access mask"

some questions :

1) i want the private forum name to be displayed on index page but i dont want normal members to get inside the forum. or view the forum i want them to get "You have no permission to enter"
how do i do that ?

2) how do i give private forum access for to my normal members ?

user accesmask override the usergroup permissions for that special user

1) disable hide private forums in your acp

2) edit forum permissions

hint: you should read the vb manual.

how about enabling the show private forum and hiding "staffs forum areas " ? :roolingeyes:

staff forums are private forums, there is no difference
