Extended! Server Load Averages
Here We Go Again!
Extended! Server Load Averages Man, I Love This Feature! Hey Everyone! This is another creation from the "shovel factory/powerhouse". Lol. Actually, it's just another modification of the heavily unorganized, vBulletin AdminCP code. There, I said it! Anyways, this hack allows for a mighty cool feature. 1) You can check your current, 5 minute, and 10 minute server load with much more ease. B. It just spices up the old 'Useful Admin Stuff' menu. 3) Well....you get the picture. (screen in post below) Well, what it does is turns your current averages in to a much more useful percentage by multiplying the decimal by 100. Then I added a cool link to a place that explains these average triads and spans that tell you how long ago the values were taken. (when you hold your cursor over the percentages) I think it's pretty awesome, so you might think that too. Give it a look and try it out. Thanks. With Lottsa Crap, shovel P.S. If you have previously downloaded this hack, 12X means around line 120. It has now been changed. Sorry for any problems. :) Also, I've changed the class for the table-row back to secondalt. I had it set to firstalt to fit my own setup. :) Latest Update: Upgrade coding for no more '0%, %, %' problems! |
It's the averages above my cool bar feature. (Server Load Percentages hack)
|
Line 129 for me not 12
|
Not 12, 12X. Means, around 120. Lol. Sorry. I'll change it. :)
EDIT: Fixed :) |
You should have kept this in your old thread?
|
Nope, it's different. Plus, I plan on adding more about the daemon to this hack. Also, I'm getting rid of the old percentage hack. I don't like it. It doesn't make as much sense as this version. Thanks Dean. :)
*Requests Deletion of Percentage Hack* |
I've installed this and this is what my server load shows:
0%, %, % 21 users online (14 members & 7 guests). How can it be 0%, nothing% nothing%? -WoodiE |
This happens to me aswell, I can't explain it. Just refresh the page, that's my only solution. I'll mod the code so that it won't display that anymore aswell. :)
EDIT: FIXED, So Upgrade! |
I still don't understand the usefulness of this hack. :) To get the percentage, just take the server load eg. 0.5 and x 100 - 0.5 x 100 = 50%. What would be the point of your hack? :) Not wanting to offend, just clarifying its purpose...
|
Exactly, it turns them into a percent. It's a whole lot easier to read and I've also included the link you gave me earlier. I just relized the other day the use of 'Server Load Averages'. Now I want everyone to relize just how important they really are. Some people have been just bypassing them for years now not knowing what they do or stand for. Now, if a person looked into atleast the site I've included they could probably figure out why their server is so slow. :)
