Calling it "threads" or "topics" what is the general opinion on what to use
 

simple question.. best to call it "threads" or "topics"?

And if I decide on "topics" is there a quick way to do renames?

Threads, as that's what vB uses everywhere (pretty much the only thing it does consistently).

also threads here, even in german we call em threads :)

interesting as I have seen some VB forums where they changed from threads to topics.

They probably would of edited some templates and changed Threads to Topics. I doubt they woulda done any actual php file editing.
