weird error
 

Received this error this morning, I have never seen anything like this. Here's the error:

Database error in vBulletin 2.2.9:

Invalid SQL: INSERT INTO userfield (userid,field6,field2,field7,field9,field5,field3, field1,field4) VALUES (453,'Cheng Feng','','','','','','','')
mysql error:

mysql error number: 0

More details? What page did you receive this error at?

I'm guessing after you hit submit in the Usercp modify-profile page, and then this came up?

Also, is that the whole error message? Didn't give more specifics after "mysql error:" ?

here's the entire error message I received via email. It must have been someone trying to register??? It wasn't me that caused the error.

hmm maybe a short discon rom the DB?

have you tried a test registration if this error occurs anymore?

I've had about 50 new members register without any problems since that error.

It's from your field6, whatever that is. You might try the htmlspecialcharacters there and see if that fixes it. Maybe the space in the middle of it?

??? A registering spambot? That's the only explanation for empty profile fieds like that...

I get a lot of users who don't fill out the field areas.

its not a required field.
